bamboo shrimp and fertilizer??? please answer!?

well i have a 48g with co2 (yeast)
and some fertilized substrate. but my plants were dying so i am now adding
“Nutrafin-plant gro”
and i wanted to get a bamboo shrimp everything is perfect and i have been waiting 2 wks for the pet store to have them in stock and they are coming this weekend but i heard that copper and other metals are not safe for the shrimp

I use fertilizer in several of my shrimp and snail tanks. At first I was hesitant, but after talking to other people in the hobby, I learned that if you follow the doses recommended by the manufacturers and use a fertilizer made especially for aquarium use, the amounts of copper and other things bad for shrimp are well below the level where any negative effects are experienced.
